Key Projects

 

Performed treatability testing, conceptual process design, and detail design of an equalization and neutralization facility for major computer manufacturer.

 

Development of island-wide pretreatment program comprising over one hundred and eight wastewater treatment facilities.  Identification of major industrial waste contributions to each facility.

 

Field implementation of monitoring program at over forty six municipal wastewater treatment plants to determine the level of priority pollutants present in their influent and sludge.  Supervision and training of sampling brigades and coordination of services with subcontractors.

 

Development and implementation of waste minimization program, treatability assessments, selection of technologies, process design, startup, troubleshooting, training and supervision of liquid and solid wastes for a pharmaceutical chemical synthesis facility.

 

Management of safety and industrial hygiene programs for a pharmaceutical chemical synthesis facility.  Program operational budget was approximately $1 million.  Directly supervise over fourteen employees.

 

Developed and directed more than forty wastewater treatability studies and conceptual process designs for complex industrial wastewater including bakery, food processors, milk processors, juice manufacturers, dairy product, brewery, pharmaceutical, chemical synthesis, perfumes, medical devices and textile.

 

Performed over nineteen in –depth evaluations of wastewater and sludge treatment facilities including both municipal and industrial.

 

Furnished nineteen complete wastewater treatment facilities: twelve sequential batch reactors and eight novel in-tank sedimentation systems.  Including the first SBR and Aero-Mod installations in Puerto Rico.

 

Furnished over thirty three treatment and dewatering systems for water and wastewater sludge: twelve belt filter presses, one belt thickener, fourteen wedgewater filters beds, one filter press and seven DraiMad dewatering systems.

 

Responsible in charge for the installation and startup of over sixteen systems related to water and wastewater treatment.  Including pumping stations, pH control, flow monitoring, chemical conditioning, mixing, aeration, sedimentation, thickening, and dewatering equipment.

 

Responsible in charge of design, construction, start-up and training of two wastewater treatment facilities supplied on a fixed price, performance guarantee, design-construct basis for a pharmaceutical and textile manufacturer.
